Well hello there, Elizabeth! Let's get your question answered and get you on your way to happy sailings!
Disney's Beach Club Resort and
Disney's Yacht Club Resort are two of my favorite resorts on
Walt Disney World Resort property. But for me, Beach Club takes the win. Of course, you can't go wrong with either, it's just that I love the New England-style theming of Beach Club. Both will give you access to the amazing
Stormalong Bay pool area and you're just a walk or
boat ride away from
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios. And as far as food goes, we were just at
Ale & Compass Restaurant at Yacht Club last week where we had our best meal of the trip! The food and service were impeccable!
Roughly half of the rooms at Disney's Beach Club Resort have a larger balcony or patio and the other half have a smaller, "Juliet-style" balcony. Then there's
Disney's Beach Club Villas, which is the
Disney Vacation Club section of the resort. These rooms do not have those "Juliet-style" balconies. Most of the rooms at Disney's Yacht Club Resort have a larger balcony, with some rooms having a shared balcony. While it cannot be guaranteed, you'll want to request a larger, private balcony and Cast Members will do their best to honor that request. Of course, your chances are higher of this happening at Yacht Club since more rooms will have a balcony on which you can sit.
There are a few ways that you can make your request. First, when you
check in online, you can make certain requests. You can also call the
Disney Resorts Hotel Reservations line. And you can fill out
this online form as well, making sure to include your resort hotel reservation information. Once again, this is a request, and even if it can't be honored, I will say that both of these resorts have some great places for you to stretch out and relax. I absolutely love the Solarium at Disney's Beach Club Resort and even better, The Breezeway over by the Villas.
Elizabeth, best wishes in getting the balcony of your dreams. If you have any other questions,
please feel free to reach out again!
The line where the sky meets the sea calls you,
Matt
