Hi Nicole!
I love your question. It includes two of my favorite things: snacks and the
Disney Dining Plan.
You will find that a wide variety of food and beverage items count as snacks on the Disney Dining Plan. It could be a bottle of Dasani water, a piece of fresh fruit, or an entire strawberry shortcake sundae from
Storybook Treats in the Magic Kingdom. My family makes a game of finding the most expensive item that can be purchased with a snack credit during our vacations. (I love this game because I typically win.)
Fortunately, Disney has made it very easy to determine what you can purchase with a snack credit from the Disney Dining Plan. On posted menus at each quick service restaurant or food kiosk throughout the theme parks and hotel restaurants, snacks are denoted by a square purple icons. They are easy to spot. Obviously, if you're running low on snack credits, pay cash for the inexpensive snack items and use your Disney Dining Plan credits to pay for the more expensive options.
My mouth is watering just considering the possibilities. Don't hesitate to ask additional questions to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you'd like suggestions for specific items you should consider buying with those wonderful Disney Dining Plan snack credits.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Jill
