What is considered "cruise casual" dress for dinner on the Disney cruises?

    Welcome Aboard, Carleen!

Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question. It sounds like you might be getting prepared to pack your bags for a Disney Cruise vacation!

It can be overwhelming to pack for a cruise - trust me, I'm a notorious "over-packer"! Disney Cruise Line makes it easy by having "cruise casual" nights for most evenings onboard. "Cruise Casual" means no swimwear or tank tops, and I recommend no casual shorts. Dressy shorts, capris, slacks and sundresses are the norm when visiting the Main Dining Venues on the ship! I usually pack outfits that I would wear out to dinner with friends. On most itineraries, there will be optional dress-up nights where you'll want to dress a little more fancy. You'll also find a stricter dress code if you dine in any of DCL's adult-exclusive venues.

Most cruises also have theme nights, such as Pirate Night, where you can get dressed up for fun family photo ops and swashbuckling fun! Don't worry if you don't own a secret stash of pirate attire, there's lots of accessories and pirate gear available in the onboard shops!

I hope this helps answer your question. Please stop back by as you continue with your planning!

    Have a magical day! - Diane W.
