What is considered a child for dining?

    Hi Christina!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for bringing this great Disneyland Resort planning question to us hEAR!

Mouseketeers between the ages of three and nine years old (3 - 9) are eligible for children's pricing on both Disneyland Resort Theme Park Tickets as well as all Disney Dining Locations. I don't think you'll have an issue with a slightly older child ordering off the Kids' menu at a quick service location, especially when using Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering. However, prices are based on age when enjoying a Character Dining Experience as well as Dining Events like dining packages and dessert parties.

Did you know that Mickey's youngest pals who have yet to turn three-years-old (3) are complimentary both in theme park admission but at all buffet meals as well? It's true! So be sure to book that dining reservation in advance and bring your camera!

Bonus Tip: One of my favorite little sayings that I made up is that Disney is quickly becoming an Eat Park, too, and you're going to be right in the middle of all the fun action as your visit times perfectly to the opening of the 2020 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! Check out this Foodie Guide to the Festival from the Disney Parks Blog to start making your list of must-try dishes.

I hope this helped to plan your upcoming Disney Days, Christina, and if you have any more Disneyland Resort questions, We're All Ears!
