Can I get connecting rooms at wilderness lodge?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Eileen!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! In fact, you’re just a few months away from stepping back into the MAGIC—how exciting is that? I hope you’re already dreaming about the snacks, the attractions, and all the enchanting moments waiting for you. Let’s get you ready to make this upcoming Disney adventure absolutely unforgettable!

So, are you ready for some TIGGER-ific news? I am very happy to share with you that you CAN book a connecting room at Wilderness Lodge! It’s a fantastic way to keep your whole crew close together while staying in one of the most breathtaking resorts on property. (This is personally one of my favorite places to stay!) Wilderness Lodge offers Water View, Fireworks View, and Resort View rooms, and your wish begins when you book two rooms in the exact same view category. That’s the key! Once both rooms match, you’re officially eligible to request connecting rooms, and Disney will do everything possible to accommodate you based on availability. After you book, hop into your My Disney Experience account and scroll all the way down to the section labeled “Room Requests.” This is where you can add a note requesting connecting rooms and even mention that your party is traveling together. You can also call Disney Reservations and ask them to add a “Travel With” note to both reservations, which links the rooms on the Cast Member side and gives your request extra weight.

While Disney can’t guarantee connecting rooms, Wilderness Lodge is known for having a good number of them spread throughout the resort. Cast Members do an amazing job trying to place families close together, especially when the request is made early.  Connecting rooms can truly make your stay feel seamless. Imagine opening that interior door, letting the kids run between rooms, and catching a little of the Magic Kingdom fireworks, depending on your view category!

As you continue to plan, be sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information on all things Disney. Mickey and his pals have some incredible surprises planned for 2026, and we don't want you to miss any of the fun!

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!

    Wes
