Ahoy, Emily! I am so glad you sailed by planDisney with this question, which tells me you are in the early stages of planning the most magical vacation at sea. Picking a
Disney Cruise Line itinerary has so much that goes into it: the destinations, the ships, the staterooms. Life is full of tough choices, isn't it? Luckily for us, all of the choices lead to magic!
Disney Cruise Line has connecting rooms for staterooms of the same type, such as connecting Verandah rooms or connecting Oceanview rooms. You can search for connecting rooms by
deck plan. Select the ship, the deck, and the "Only Show Connecting Staterooms" option under the "All Staterooms and Activities" drop-down list. You can also combine this with "Verandah" or another stateroom type to see the connecting rooms by category.
Although there are no connecting Verandah and Oceanview rooms, you may find them adjacent or close to each other. When I sailed with my planDisney friends, having rooms near each other was such a treat! It made it very convenient to meet at the elevator bank to head to dinner, catch a show, or get really competitive with the trivia contests. With my friends so close, sometimes I could hear their door close and knew it was time to grab my
DisneyBand+ and go!
When I start making my cruise dreams come true, I start with the
Disney Cruise Line page and select the number of nights, potential months to cruise, and general destination (like the Caribbean, Alaska or my next dream, Europe). Once I find a date that works, I look at the deck plans to see the available staterooms. I love having the option to see how close to the elevator, the entertainment, and the pools I may be as part of my planning.
As you get ready for your trip aboard the most magical ships at sea, please bring any questions you have about your cruise to
planDisney. We're happy to help you get your Vitamin SEA!
Happy Planning!
