Are connecting rooms available at Port Orleans French Quarter. We want to reserve 2 rooms in early November but need connecting rooms.

    Hi Stephen,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. November is one of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World Resort, because the holiday decorations are starting to appear, and the weather is usually gorgeous.

Connecting rooms are indeed available at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter. Please keep in mind that while connecting rooms are available, they are not guaranteed. If you would like connecting rooms, be sure to make that request at the time of your reservation. If you have already made your reservation, you should call the Walt Disney World Reservations line at (407) 939-1936 and add that request to your reservation. Then, when it’s time for your online check-in, make the request again there. I would also call the resort the morning of your arrival date and again politely make the request. Room assignment is like a giant puzzle, so be sure you’re not making too many other requests, as it becomes more and more difficult as you begin to request buildings and views in addition to connecting rooms. One other note: if the reason you want connecting rooms is because you are traveling with someone with mobility needs or a disability, be sure you note that.

Walt Disney World Resort’s Cast Members want you to have a magical time, and they really will do their best to accommodate you. On a recent trip with my parents, I requested connecting rooms, and they were not able to accommodate, but we did get rooms right beside each other, which worked out beautifully. The kids could run into my parents’ room in the morning using their “magical Disney secret knock,” and I was able to relax in my parents’ room next door while my husband managed nap time with the kids.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
