Hi there, Teresa! Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so excited to hear that you are planning a trip to
The Most Magical Place on Earth this October! Walt Disney World is my favorite vacation spot, and the fall is a wonderful time to visit!
I have stayed at
Disney's Pop Century Resort multiple times, and I think it is the hidden gem of Walt Disney World! I just spoke with a friendly Cast Member who told me that there
are preferred accessible rooms
connecting with basic preferred rooms on the ground floor at Pop Century. When you make your reservation on the website, there is a place to note room requests. This is where you will specify a connecting door. If you are making two separate reservations for the rooms, note the name of the person on the other reservation, and have the other party do the same. If you have any difficulty, call
Walt Disney World Tickets and Hotel Reservations, and a Cast Member will be happy to help you. Connecting room requests are never guaranteed, but they are typically able to accommodate them.
One of the best benefits of staying at this resort is access to
Disney's Skyliner! You can take it to
EPCOT or
Disney's Hollywood Studios. I like to take it to
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and have dinner at
Sebastian's Bistro. It might sound dramatic, but one of the best meals of my life was at Sebastian's! They have a Caribbean menu, and everything is delicious! But don't get too full, because you have to save room for the House-made Coconut-Pineapple Bread Pudding! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Reservations are strongly recommended.
During your stay, the
EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival will be in full swing. This event is included with your park admission and has exclusive food and beverage options, the Eat to the Beat Concert Series, and fun kids' activities. There is something for everyone, and the more than 30 food booths located throughout World Showcase are the stars of the show!
Last October, my family attended
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. My teens loved the themed entertainment, lower wait times, and attraction overlays, while my favorite parts were the trick-or-treating and
Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade. The dates for this year's parties haven't been announced yet, but keep checking back.
I hope you are able to book the rooms that you want, Teresa, and that you all have the most magical vacation! If you have any more questions, please come back and see us here at
planDisney!
Always dreaming -
