I am connecting family friends to My Disney Experience account and both of our families have the Disney Dinning Plan, if I make reservations for the 9 of us how do I ensure that the restaurant will deduct from both families dinning plan on the magic bands?

Hi there, Amy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

What a fun trip you have ahead of you! I'm smiling just thinking about the memories you are going to make with your family friends. It will be a special vacation, for sure!

It should be quite easy to make sure that everyone's dining plan meal entitlements get used appropriately. When you are seated at the Table-Service restaurant you are dining at, all you will need to do is to let the Cast Member assisting you know that your party is on two separate dining plans. They will be happy to split the meal between your two families and will scan the MagicBand of one person in each party to apply the dining plan entitlements to your meals. In most cases, you will see an automatic gratuity of 18% on your bill since your reservation has six or more Guests at the table, and that will be divided accordingly between your two families as well.

Enjoy planning your trip, Amy! Please visit us again with any other questions you may have. Happy eating!
