Ahoy, John! Welcome to planDisney. There is nothing more magical than crossing the threshold of a
Disney Cruise Line ship and hearing the Cast Member welcome your family aboard. Well, there is one thing that can make this even more magical: sharing it with lots of family and friends.
On the
Disney Fantasy last summer, we started talking with the family seated near us. With
rotational dining, we saw them each night and always connected across tables to share stories about our day. That cruise was to be their first and only Disney Cruise. Fast-forward to the day we disembarked: They booked the same cruise this summer as us, and we linked our reservations so we could dine together. We've stayed in touch all year and are so excited about our upcoming reunion on the
Disney Treasure in just a few months. We even requested our same Head Server, as we know she is now on this ship. Disney magic at its best!
Linking reservations for dining is pretty simple. I used the
chat function on the website. You can also
call and ask a Cast Member for assistance. I had the names and reservation numbers for both families. In just a few minutes, the Cast Member pulled out a magic wand and
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo! We are linked. Now, when I log into the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, under the Special Services area, I can see that a "Special Request" has been made for my reservation.
Our cruise is close enough that we can book Port Adventures and onboard activities. With our linked reservations, I can make plans for everyone in both staterooms. One important note, though, is we have different
Castaway Club levels, so
I can only reserve adult-exclusive dining and other activities when each person becomes eligible. This is a great feature, in addition to knowing we will see them at dinner each night.
John, I hope you have a wonderful time aboard the most magical ships at sea. If we can help with any other planning questions, please cruise back by
planDisney. We're all aboard to help!
Bon Voyage!
