Jambo, Sean! Welcome to planDisney. I hope we become a place you continually come back to for answers to all of your burning Disney vacation planning questions!
I recently stayed in a studio at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. What an amazing resort! I mean, it has a savanna! What other place outside of Africa has that? While I didn't have a room with a view of the savanna, my favorite way to start and end the day was to sit on the rocking chairs outside the lobby and just watch the animals go by. My favorite by far was the giraffe. There is also an indoor room for you to view the savanna as well as an outside viewing area. Of course, you can also walk (or take a shuttle) to Jambo House for its beautiful lobby and lookout areas.
I just confirmed with a friendly Cast Member that the villas in Kidani Village have recently upgraded their televisions to Samsung Smart TVs and therefore, you should be able to utilize the HDMI port.
Sean, I have heard time and again that the
dining at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is some of the best on
Walt Disney World Resort property. And after my stay this past summer, I'd have to agree. I have eaten at
Sanaa for lunch and dinner,
Jiko - The Cooking Place for dinner, and
Boma - Flavors of Africa for breakfast. They were all distinct, delicious, and came with excellent service. Be sure to make some
advanced dining reservations for the restaurants at this African-inspired resort.
