I want to connect my grandson's phone to My Disney Experience. I have it on my phone. How do I get to Friends and Family in My Disney Experience?

Greetings, Mary, and a warm welcome to planDisney with your excellent question!

I am very excited to see that you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort so soon, especially during the 50th Anniversary Celebration, it would be my pleasure to help you out, Mary! Let us begin with linking all reservations to your Disney account, or you can follow the steps below using your My Disney Experience app.

To add your grandson to your My Disney Experience app:

    1. Please open My Disney Experience.
    2. Tap on the three, horizontal lines at the bottom right corner.
    3. You will see your Welcome Page with your name.
    4. Please tap on “My Profile.”
    5. You will see two Tabs at the top under “My Account” one tab will say “My Profile” beside that you will see “Family & Friends List” please tap on this.
    6. On this page, in blue writing, you should see “Add a Guest” tap on that.
    7. Using your grandson’s theme park ticket, you can either scan the barcode (you will be asked to enable your phone’s camera), or you can enter the ID number manually.
    8. You can also enter your grandson’s name and his age, or find him through your connected Guests on your Guest Room or vacation package reservation number.

If you experience any difficulties, please reach out to Walt Disney World Resort "My Disney Experience and MagicBands" for assistance.

In preparation for your visit, Mary, please take a look at the Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane service which will save you time waiting in lines for attractions that have a Lightning Lane entrance. This option can be found in the My Disney Experience app on the Home Page, and you can add it on each day of your theme park visits. Please ensure you have your Disney Park Pass - Theme Park Reservations in place in advance of your arrival.

It was my pleasure assisting you today, Mary, good luck with linking your grandson, and I wish you the most magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort - thank you kindly!
