Welcome aboard planDisney! Finding the right travel agent is a lot like finding the perfect First Mate. You want someone who knows the waters, helps keep your voyage on course, and makes planning your Disney vacation feel as smooth as sailing with Captain Mickey at the helm!
My biggest recommendation is to find a travel agent through personal recommendations. If you know someone who has sailed with Disney Cruise Line and used a travel agent, ask about their experience and whether they'd recommend them. I always find that hearing firsthand experiences can be one of the best ways to find someone who matches your travel style. If you're active on social media, Disney vacation groups can also be a great resource. Just be sure to check the group rules first, as many communities limit or completely prohibit travel agent recommendations and promotions.
Another great option is to use your favorite search engine to look for Disney travel agents. Spend a little time reading reviews from other Guests, and don't be afraid to compare a few agencies before making your decision. One thing I always recommend is verifying that the agency is an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. You'll usually find that designation right on the agency's homepage. Depending on their experience with Disney destinations, you may also see the EarMarked by Disney logo along with a designation such as Diamond Level, which recognizes agencies with extensive Disney vacation planning experience.
Of course, you can also book directly by
calling Disney Cruise Line or by using the website. A friendly Cast Member can help you choose an itinerary, answer your questions, and walk you through the reservation process. Before you call, I do recommend spending a little time exploring the Disney Cruise Line website. One of my favorite resources is the "
Be in the Know Before You Go" section, which does a fantastic job explaining everything from booking timelines to what to expect once you're onboard. Even after several Disney cruises with my own crew, I still find myself browsing through it from time to time.
