Hey There, Melissa!
As a fellow Buckeye
and Disney Vacation Club Member, I'm happy to welcome you to planDisney. In my opinion, there's no better way to kick off summer than with a visit to Walt Disney World –– you must be getting so excited about your upcoming vacation! Since you'll be arriving in just a few months, don't forget to mark your calendar to book your
advance dining reservations, especially if you're hoping to grab a table at popular new spots like
Steakhouse 71 or
Space 220 Restaurant. As a Guest of a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, your reservations can be made beginning 60 days before check-in for your entire length of stay (up to 10 days), so be sure to take advantage of that extended booking window.
I find it really useful to have my
Disney Vacation Club account connected with my Disney Account –– it helps to seamlessly connect my reservations to the My Disney Experience app, gives me access to my DVC affiliation and entitlements, and more. It's also really easy to do, so I'm happy to share the details and help you make things a little simpler when it comes to accessing your information. Here's the quickest way to link your accounts:
1. Head over to the
Walt Disney World Resort website and sign in with your Disney Account.
2. Hover over the "My Disney Experience" tab and select "Melissa Profile" from the drop-down menu.
3. Click on "Memberships & Passes".
4. Under "Link Memberships & Passes to Your Account" select "Link Your Disney Vacation Club Membership".
5. Follow the on-screen prompts to enter your Disney Vacation Club Account information and click "Done".
And that's it! Just be aware that you might need to manually add your hotel reservation to My Disney Experience for this trip –– sometimes existing reservations don't automatically populate from the
DVC website when you initially link your account. You can do this by selecting "My Plans" from the My Disney Experience tab and clicking "Link a Reservation" under the "Resort Hotel" icon. Also, note that because the DVC website and Walt Disney World website are separate, you'll still need to sign in to each one individually, even after your accounts have been linked (so I promise, you're not doing anything wrong!).
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Melissa. If you think of more questions about your Disney Vacation Club Membership or need any other planning advice before you arrive, please be sure to stop back by ––
I'm always happy to help!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
