Hello, Krista! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question.
I’m excited that you are considering staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel during your next visit to the parks! I have stayed at all three and can honestly say you can’t go wrong choosing any of these hotels. You can either make a room-only reservation or book your room as part of a
vacation package. No matter which option you choose,
park tickets are always a separate expense and not included in the nightly hotel rate. When you book a vacation package, however, you can lump your tickets, accommodations, and even ground transportation into one package price. You only need to pay a $200 deposit at the time of booking and then you can make payments at any time and in any amount that you wish as long as your package is paid in-full 30 days before your arrival date.
In addition to the convenience of making payments toward your vacation, when you stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you get access to my favorite perk:
Extra Magic Hour every day of your stay! Extra Magic Hour allows you to enter Disneyland Park one hour before general admission on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and Disney California Adventure Park one hour early on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This extra hour is invaluable as the crowds are usually low and you can get so much done!
I hope this information was helpful. Please stop by again if you have any other questions!
