I am so confused by Rider Switch. If my husband and I are taking our two year old what do we need this for? Do we need tickets outside of the FastPass+ and general Admission?

    Hi Katie!

This is a great question. The only reason you would want to take advantage of Rider Switch is if there is a ride you do not want to take your child on. For example, if you and your husband would like to ride Rock-N-Rollercoaster at Disney's Hollywood Studios (or another ride that might not be appropriate for a two-year-old), Rider Switch allows you to take turns waiting with your child while the other one rides the rollercoaster. Here's how it works: when you arrive at the Ride, simply tell the Cast Member out front that you would like to use Rider Switch. The parent who is waiting with the child first will receive a pass (similar to a FastPass+) and the parent who is riding first will proceed through the line. After the first parent rides, you then can switch with the second parent. It's a great way to enjoy all the grown-up rides even though you may have young children with you. Other than the Rider Switch pass you receive from the Cast Member in front of specific rides, you do not need anything else other than Park Admission (and a FastPass+ if possible!)

I hope this answers your question. Please come back if there's anything else we can do to help with your planning. Here's wishing you a wonderful day and a magical Walt Disney World visit!
