I am confused with the pools at AK. We will stay at KV on our Dec '12 visit. What pools r we able to use? We booked w/ KV because we were told the pool is better 4 kids..is that true? Also, considering switching to WLV at 7 mo out, oppinions on that?

    Hi Michelle!
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a spectacular place to stay especially over the holidays.  My family loves being there and seeing all the animals just roaming around the resort.  The place has an exotic feel, and it does really seem that you are transported right to Africa.  Kidani Village is a short bus ride away from Jambo House.  There are pools at both Jambo House and Kidani Village and when you stay on property, you can use them both!  At Kidani Village, there is also Uwanja camp for children.  This interactive water playground is such fun for kids of all ages! Both pools have a zero depth entry and are fantastic.  There is also Hakuna Matata Playground which is a great way for kids to get rid of all the extra energy that they seem to have at the end of the day!  Simba's Clubhouse Children's Activity Center is a supervised activity center for kids ages 3-12 that allows parents to have a little time for themselves.  Sanaa is a wonderful restaurant to eat while they play at the Clubhouse. My children love staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge so I would encourage you to keep your reservation.  The Villas at Wilderness Lodge are always a great option as well, but my first love is Animal Kingdom.
I hope you have a magical vacation and Welcome Home!
