Hi, Nicole! It's always a pleasure to help a fellow Pennsylvanian here at planDisney!
I'm so glad to hear that you'll be visiting
Walt Disney World Resort this October! Events such as the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party make fall one of my favorite times to visit. Since
Magic Kingdom Park closes early for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on select nights throughout the fall season, you'll want to keep that in mind as you plan your vacation itinerary.
If you'd like to spend the whole day at Magic Kingdom Park, be sure to consult the
hours and events calendar. You can select a day when Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is not taking place and make your
Magic Kingdom Park reservation for that date. If you happen to have
theme park tickets with the
Park Hopper option, this gives you even more flexibility in planning your schedule. With Park Hopper tickets, you could start your day at Magic Kingdom Park, and then continue the fun at one of the other theme parks during the evening hours.
If you'd like to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party, this will require a separate
special event ticket purchase. While
Mickey's "Boo-To-You" Halloween Parade and
Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show are certainly highlights of the party, there's so much more Halloween fun to be had at this special event.
Party Guests can
dress in their Halloween best while trick-or-treating through Magic Kingdom Park. Several characters make appearances, and many even wear their own Halloween costumes. There are lots of frightfully fun entertainment offerings, including the
Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet and the
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular. If you're a fan of rides, the lower crowds at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party often result in lower wait times for attractions. A few attractions even have special surprises during the event. Guests can also commemorate their spooktacular time with some Halloween Magic Shots from the
Disney PhotoPass photographers.
Nicole, I hope this information helps you as you plan for your upcoming trip. If we can answer any other questions for you, please don't hesitate to ask. Happy Halloween!
Samantha
