Confused on how the park works when they have ticketed events also. We will be at the park (Magic Kingdom) all day, do we then have to buy an additional ticket for the event? What happens if we don't, do we have to leave when that event starts then?

    Hi Katie!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Magic Kingdom is my favorite theme park at Walt Disney World Resort! There are several different specially ticketed events in Magic Kingdom during the fall, such as Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. On days where when Magic Kingdom is hosting a specially ticketed event, Guests who have standard theme park tickets will have access to the Magic Kingdom from the park opening until the start of the party, which is generally 7:00 p.m. If you would like to stay later to enjoy the event's activities, you will need to purchase a ticket to the special event, which will allow you access to the theme park in the evening and all of the special entertainment and activities during the event. Guests with tickets to the evening's special events will be given wristbands to wear during the party. At the start of the event, Guests who do not have wristbands and event tickets will be directed to the theme park exit.

We have a few days on our upcoming vacation where we will be enjoying Magic Kingdom on a day where Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be occurring in the evening. Our plan for the day is that we will head over to Disney Springs after our time at Magic Kingdom to enjoy the dining, entertainment and shopping Disney Springs has to offer! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
