So confused about parades and fireworks! We will be in MK June 18th w/ sons 5 & 9.Electrical parade and Wishes are must see. Can we stay in one spot for both? Can you hold a spot and leave for an attraction? How do you plan for these events? Worth F

Welcome Angie, thanks for visiting us.
You must be very excited about your Disney vacation! I am so happy for you. I am sure it is going to be a magical moment to your family.
You are right, Wishes nighttime spectacular and the Main Street Electrical Parade are not to be missed. They are both beautiful spectacles. Once you find a good spot, you will be fine for watching both fireworks and parade. I particularly prefer staying at Main Street U.S.A from where I think I can have the best views of Cinderella Castle. But once you decide to leave that place, you can’t save it for returning later. If you check the calendar and Park hours for June 18, 2015, you will find they will present Magic Kingdom Electrical Parade twice, first time at 09:00 p.m. and the second one at 11:00 p.m.. I suggest you find a good spot around 08:30 p.m., watch the parade at 09:00 p.m. and the fireworks from the same place, and afterwards you could ride some attractions, as the Magic Kingdom Park closes at midnight on that day. That is what my family usually do and it works very well for us.
Another great tool Disney offers is the FastPass+, which allows you to reserve spots in excellent viewing areas for these shows in advance of your vacation. That is the best way to guarantee a nice place for your family.
Hope this information helps. Come back again if you have more questions.
    Have a wonderful day!
