Welcome back to planDisney, Sally! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question; it's a great one and totally understandable with the recent update to the
theme park reservation system. Let's walk through this together!
You mentioned that you're an
Annual Passholder and your husband has a
Military Salute Park Hopper ticket, and that you already have your park reservations; great job being ahead of the game!
Now, starting July 20, there's a little change for Annual Passholders: a park reservation will be required to visit
Magic Kingdom every day of the week. That means if you want to
start your day at Magic Kingdom, you'll need to have a reservation specifically for that park.
But here's the good news: you can still hop to Magic Kingdom later in the day! All you need to do is enter the park you have a reservation for first, and after that, you're free to hop to any other park, including Magic Kingdom. So if your reservation is for EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom, head there first, and then you can venture over to Magic Kingdom whenever you're ready. This applies to both of you; Military Salute tickets also require park reservations, so just like your Annual Pass, make sure to enter the first reserved park before hopping.
And to answer your other question: you can only hold one park reservation per day, but once you've tapped into your reserved park, hopping is fair game for the rest of the day. No double booking is required, and plenty of magical park hopping fun awaits after your first scan!
Hope this helps clear things up, and please let us know if you have any more questions about your magical vacation.
