I am so confused about the dining plans! We are a family of 5, the kids are eaters, but not sure if we want to sit and take a lot of time out to eat. I would hate to get the Deluxe and not use all of it, but I don't want to end up spending more.

Hi Kristen - there are three main dining plan options, and the primary differences between them is the amount and type of credits you'll receive.

I personally find the Disney dining plan to be a great value for a family, although I definitely think the standard plan, with one table service, one quick service, and one snack credit per day per family member, is the best.  You'll actually find that it's a good amount of food, and while you may need to spend a little bit of money out of pocket, it will still be worth it.

The deluxe plan includes a lot of food, so I only recommend it if you think you will use at least two table service credits per day.

    Have a great vacation!
