I am so confused with the dining plans. The Deluxe, Premium, and Platinum all kind of seem the same. Each have 3 meals, 2 snacks and 1 refill mug. Can you please explain what the exact difference is. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

    Hi Autumn,

Thanks for stopping by with your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The Disney Dining Plans are a great way to plan ahead for your meal budget and include it in your Magic Your Way Vacation Package. And surely indeed there are several options to choose from to help everyone. The page above does include links to download the descriptions of each plan, but I’ll summarize them for you here.

The 2016 Deluxe Dining Plan includes three meals and two snacks, per person, per night of your package stay, as well as a Rapid Fill Resort refillable drink mug. For meals, you may choose between Table-Service and Quick-Service. However, Signature Restaurants, Dinner Shows (certain categories only), Private In-Room Dining, and Pizza Delivery will count as two adult meals.

The 2016 Premium Dining Plan includes you one breakfast, lunch and dinner, and two snacks, per person, per night of your package stay, as well as the refillable drink mug. But you may choose your meals from Quick-Service, Table-Service, Signature Restaurants, Dinner Shows, or Private In-Room Dining. Each counts as only one meal! It truly gives you complete flexibility as to where you would want to dine. Only exception is Pizza Delivery, which counts as two adult meals. It also gives you a whole bunch of recreation options like golf, fishing, watersports, carriage rides, child-care options, La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil, and select Disney Tours.

And finally, the Crème de la Crème, the 2016 Platinum Dining Plan. It builds on the Premium Dining Plan with same meal and recreation options, but expands the Disney Tours available, and includes select Spa treatments, Characters in Flight, and even a Fireworks cruise.

Hope this helps with your planning. These are most definitely in my bucket list.

    Ricardo.
