Confused about how continuing reservation works. Package on 8/19 and want to add room only for 8/18. Want to check in on 8/19 around 7:00 A.M. to get park tics. Will we know then if we have to change rooms? Have to check out before we check back in?

    Hi Donna!

I totally understand your confusion!  Since you have two separate reservations, one being a "room only" and the second being a package, your best bet is to have the Cast Member note on your reservations that the are "Continuing."  This way, the room assigner will do his or her best to ensure that you will not have to switch rooms when you switch reservations.  Otherwise, the room assigner may not realize that the same guest has made both reservations.

I would call down to the front desk and see if your room assignment for the 19th have been made yet.  If you are told that you can keep your same room, you may then just leave all of your belongings in the room and head down to the front desk to check out and then check back in.  If your room has changed, or if they do not know your room number yet, simply bring your belongings down to Bell Services and let them know that you will be checking back in that afternoon.

Just to be safe, I would confirm that you have a "continuing reservation" when you check in on the 18th.  I would politely let them know how much you would appreciate being able to stay in the same room for the entire time.  Best of luck to ya!
