Hey howdy hey, Tamara!
Welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you've decided to mosey over with your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! It looks like you and your favorite toys (er, I mean, family members) will be heading to The Most Magical Place on Earth in just a few days.
Yee-haw! Tamara, I'm here to help your family prepare for an unforgettable trip. You've got a friend in me!
At this time, Guests must have both theme park admission and
theme park reservations to enter a theme park. The easiest way to secure Walt Disney World Resort
theme park tickets ahead of your trip is by purchasing them on the Walt Disney World Resort website. First, hover over the "Parks & Tickets" tab and select "
Theme Park Tickets." Next, you'll select the type of tickets you'd like to purchase. Right now, you have the option to purchase a special 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket which will allow you to visit each of the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks on separate days within a 7-day window. (Also, this ticket type does not require theme park reservations!)
If you're not interested in 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Tickets, simply scroll down and select "Continue" near "Standard Theme Park Tickets." When purchasing standard tickets, first, you'll select the number of days on the ticket. Then, you'll choose the start date for your ticket use window. Multi-day tickets are valid within a specified period and any remaining entitlements left at the end of the valid use window will expire. For example, a 3-day ticket can be used within a 5-day valid use window and can be used on non-consecutive days.
Next, you'll choose whether you'd like to visit One Park Per Day or add the
Park Hopper option to your tickets. Tickets with the Park Hopper option will allow you to "hop" to the other theme parks within the same day! Another choice is the Water Park and Sports option which would enable your family to explore the wonderful water parks, golf courses, miniature golf, and
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The Park Hopper Plus option includes both park-hopping privileges as well as access to the offerings in the Water Park and Sports option!
Once you've selected the best ticket type for your family, you'll select the number of tickets and ages of the people who will be using the tickets, as ticket pricing is based on age. You'll have the option to pre-purchase
Memory Maker in the next step, and then you'll proceed with completing your ticket purchase! Tamara, before theme park tickets can be used, they'll need to be assigned to your family members in
My Disney Experience.
I hope this information has been helpful for you. I'm wishing you and your family the rootin'est tootin'est time at the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to planDisney again anytime. We're here to help you make magical memories!
To infinity and beyond,
Lauren
