Hello. I have conflicting answers to this question so I thought I would try asking here. We are going to be at WDW Dec 27th thru Jan 3rd. Will the Christmas decorations still be up and will there still be the Christmas monorail tour of the resorts?

    Hi there Chrystal,

I am sorry you've had trouble finding a concrete answer to your question.  I can speak from personal experience when I say that you will definitely be able to experience the magic of the Holidays at The Walt Disney World Resort, even though you are going to be arriving a few days after Christmas.

My birthday is January 2nd and I have traveled to Walt Disney World many times to celebrate.  The decorations usually begin disappearing around the first Monday of January which looks like it will be January 4th this coming year.  I can remember still hearing Christmas music on the 2nd last year.

If you want to visit the resorts on the monorail route to check out all of the decorations, I would plan to do this earlier in your trip, as they have less to dismantle than the parks, and this process will happen much quicker.  Do tour the monorail resorts, hop aboard at The Magic Kingdom and be sure to disembark at each of the 3 resorts before returning to Magic Kingdom.

    Best Wishes,
