Hi Daniel! Welcome to planDisney! It's just about a month until you are hitting Main Street, U.S.A. and experiencing all the magic that the Happiest Place on Earth has to offer! This is just about when I start humming my favorite Disney tunes and can almost smell the fresh popcorn popping!
I'm so glad to see you've already purchased your theme park tickets! I like to put out a friendly reminder that with the return to the magic, all Guests are now also required to make a
theme park reservation. If you booked your tickets through the Disneyland website, you likely made a reservation as part of the process. This would have been when you selected July 24th as your park day. It sounds like you are all set to go, but let's double-check that all your Disney logistics are in place so you can just start daydreaming about which character to hug first!
The best way to ensure that your tickets are confirmed is to open up your Disneyland Mobile App. If you haven't yet downloaded it, I would go ahead and do that too. The features in the app will make your Disney days seamless and offer up lots of ways to save time as you move throughout your day. More on that later! Once you have the app and have logged in with the same account used to purchase your tickets, tap on the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner and select "Tickets & Passes". Here, you should see any active tickets that are attached to your account. Swipe left to see additional tickets if you have more than one. The ticket will be listed with the barcode, and underneath you can also peek at the expiration date, just in case you're wondering. You'll use this barcode at the Main Entrance Gate when you enter the parks. If the theme park tickets are good to go, then let's move on to checking your theme park reservations ...
While you may feel a bit like Alice in Wonderland navigating your way through the app, I'm happy to be your White Rabbit and steer you through! The reservations you made can be found in a different area of the app. If you go back into the three-bar menu in the bottom right, this time select "Future Plans". Once in here, you should see the list of any upcoming theme park reservations (as well as dining reservations, if you have them). Double check that July 24th is listed here and that the park and number of Guests are accurate. This is also where you would go if you need to make changes to your reservation. While reservations cannot be modified, they can be canceled and rescheduled. Tap into the date you'd like to change, select "Cancel Reservation" and follow the prompts from there. Be sure to double-check the
theme park reservation calendar ahead of cancellation, just to make sure your new date is available.
Now that your tickets and reservations are hopefully good to go, let's talk about the app! One of my favorite features is Mobile Order where you can easily place orders for quick service meals and snacks on the go. The last time I was in the parks, I was coming straight from the airport and was VERY hungry. As soon as I hit the tram from the parking lot, I placed a Mobile Order for
Bengal Barbecue and those fabulous skewers! When you place the order, you select a pick-up time and as soon as you're in the vicinity, you just tap the "I'm Here" button from the app. A few minutes later, your meal is ready to go! It saved me some precious time waiting for food since I was already arriving late in the day!
Daniel, if you have a follow-up question, feel free to back out to us here at planDisney!
Magic awaits!
