I have a confirmation number from a travel agent. How can I pay my deposit so I don't lose my reservation?

    Hi Tracy! Welcome to planDisney.

You're going to Walt Disney World! I know you're getting excited about all the magic that's in store for you - I'm excited for you too!

When you use an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner to make your Walt Disney World Resort reservations, they become the person who makes payments on your behalf. Since you have a reservation number, that means you've made a deposit: for a room-only reservation for a stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, this is usually the equivalent of one night's stay, or for a vacation package, which includes your resort hotel room reservation and theme park tickets, this is usually $200. Once you complete the reservation, including paying your deposit, the confirmation number generates and your travel agent will share it with you to add to your My Disney Experience account. I've also always received an email from The Walt Disney Travel Company with my reservation details.

If your reservation is for a vacation package, you will make all subsequent payments through your travel agent. If this is the kind of reservation you have, the balance is usually due 30 days in advance of your check-in date, and you will need to connect with your travel agent to determine next steps so they can make the payment on your behalf.

If you have a room-only reservation, the remainder of your balance will be due upon check-in at the Walt Disney World Resort. If a travel agent made that reservation for you, you should be able to check in with them to confirm these details.

If you're having trouble reaching our Disney Authorized Vacation Planner, please call Guest Relations at (407) 939-2273. They will be able to assist you with next steps so you can put everything in place to enjoy your upcoming vacation.

As you plan and dream about your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and updates. They also share stories about the latest experiences, merchandise, and treats around the theme parks and resorts - I like to keep a list of must-tries on my phone, organized by location, so I can enjoy it all!

Thank you for stopping by with your question, Tracy. We're here to help if you think of any further questions as you count down the days to your visit.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
