Hello, Lerick! Welcome to planDisney, where my pals and I are happy to help.
Let's see, you have a five-night voyage at the end of November to look forward to. How exciting! Not only will you be sailing on a Disney Cruise... but your ship will be all decked from bow to stern for a holiday-themed sailing. The
Very Merrytime voyages are both beautiful and full of festive activities to get you in the holiday spirit.
While you cannot view this information about your itinerary prior to setting sail, you can chat with Disney Cruise Line via the online chat
on their website, or
give them a call to inquire about Pirate Night and any formal evenings onboard. I sailed on over to ask, and it looks like you have a
Pirate Night scheduled for the second evening of your voyage. You can dress like a pirate, talk like a pirate, eat like a pirate, and party like a pirate! Keep an eye on the activity schedule in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you are onboard to see all that will be planned for this fun day. Please do keep in mind that entertainment schedules are subject to change. As an example, on a recent voyage I took, Pirate Night was adjusted by a day to take advantage of clear weather for the evening entertainment and deck party.
On the fourth night of your voyage, an optional dress-up night is scheduled. This is an evening where guests are encouraged to wear their formal or semi-formal attire. If you would prefer to wear
cruise casual attire, that is perfectly fine any night in the main dining rooms onboard. Do what's most comfortable for you and your sailing crew.
I hope that clears up your questions! With a Very Merrytime sailing, some families like to coordinate wearing holiday pajamas for photo opportunities with Santa Claus or even just to wear at breakfast. You'll spot Disney Characters in their winter best and experience lots of opportunities to take festive photos. If you are interested in
purchasing a photo package, you can do so up to three days in advance of your sailing to enjoy a discount on the package.
If you'd like to know more about what to expect when it comes to this themed sailing, I had a chance to chat about holidays aboard Disney Cruise Line during the
third episode of the planDisney Podcast. You can give it a listen or even watch it if you are interested.
Have a very merry time onboard!
