Hey there, hi there, Brenda! Welcome to planDisney. You've brought us some great planning questions, and I would be happy to help you get the answers you need.
It sounds like you are beginning to plan a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth! Disneyland is a land for everyone, and there is a wide range of support services for those who need accommodations. If someone has trouble standing in line, there are
wheelchairs and ECVs available to rent at the Stroller Shop area outside of the Disneyland Park gates. Most attraction queues allow for a Guest to use their mobility devices through the queue. For the few attraction queues, like some of those in Fantasyland, that are narrower, you will be given a return time. I recommend taking some time to go over the different
accessibility options available throughout the park ahead of your visit. When you are in the parks, you will find helpful Cast Members throughout the park at
Guest Relations kiosks if you need assistance.
There are two different discounts available for the military. The
Disney Military Promotional Tickets are available for active duty and retired military members, as well as 100% disabled veterans with proper ID. If you have access to military base ticket offices or GOVX.com, you may be able to get standard tickets at a discounted rate as well. You are correct that these tickets will need to be linked to your MyDisney account after purchase, and then theme park ticket reservations will need to be made for your visit dates. Both tickets and theme park ticket reservations are required for entry into the parks.
Brenda, I hope I was able to get you the answers you were looking for. If you have any other questions along the way, you know where to find us!
