Welcome to
planDisney, Danielle!
I, too, am a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, and I've had to cancel my daughter's annual pass this year as well.
You have likely seen the post
Annual Passes: Know Before You Go, which includes information for Passholders who chose to cancel their passes. When I cancelled my daughter's, I followed the link in the Disney Destinations email I had received in July and was able to proceed to the cancellation step; after that point, I received an email with the subject line "Confirmation of Your Annual Pass Selection". The body of the email explained that her pass would remain valid until August 11, 2020, and would be canceled effective August 12, 2020. The partial refund will go to the original form of payment in mid- to late September. The post noted above also states that "if the original form of payment is not available, you should expect a check by mid- to late October."
Just as I have told my daughter, I'm sure that a full year of magical visits to
Walt Disney World will be in your future once again. Until then, be sure to keep up with all of the fun happenings by checking out
Disney Parks Blog. When you are ready to pixie dust your plans for your future vacations, be sure to send your questions our way, too. We love to help!
