Confiict when writing our itenary for Thur 1/21 for HS. Fantasmic is showing @ 6:30 & 8:00. This is the only day that it is playing during our stay. Also have dinner resv. that night @ 1900 to see Cinderella. What would our 3 year old enjoy more???

    Hi!

Fantasmic! is spectacular.  It is my favorite nighttime entertainment at Walt Disney World.  However, eating with Cinderella is also a treat.  This is a very hard question and my answer is going to be "it depends".

if the meal is in Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom, then I recommend seeing Fantasmic! instead.  I think that is especially true if your 3 year old is a 3 year old boy.  I'm not so sure if you have a 3 year old girl.  There is something special about enjoying a meal inside Cinderella Castle.  However, I recommend skipping this meal because for the "Dreams Come True Dinner" in Cinderella Castle, you only interact with Cinderella downstairs before going upstairs to the restaurant.  Once you are upstairs, the hostess is the Fairy Godmother.  I would pick Fantasmic! over having dinner with the Fairy Godmother.

However if your meal with Cinderella is at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian then I recommend enjoying the meal and skipping Fantasmic!  That's because you will have a lot more interaction with Cinderella and other characters from that film.  In addition to Cinderella, typical characters there include Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, and Drizella.  The characters do a great job; I especially love seeing Anastasia and Drizella.  I think a boy here would enjoy this as much as a girl.  I also think the food is much better at 1900 Park Fare than in Cinderella Castle.

If your meal with Cinderella is at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion in Epcot then I also recommend enjoying the meal and skipping Fantasmic!  i think most 3 year olds will enjoy interacting with the Disney Princesses.  In addition to Cinderella, typical Princesses available include Jasmine, Ariel, Aurora, and Belle.  The food here is also outstanding!

Good luck with your decision and have a magical vacation!
