I have a conference in Orlando shortly and the thought of not stopping by the MK is more than I can stand! I thought I read that you can buy a discounted theme park ticket that is valid starting at 2:00. This would be perfect. Can I get one at the gate?

    Hi Amy!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for bringing another great question to us!

I love it when my work-related conferences are in the Orlando area! Conferencing during the day and heading to the parks in the evening is the best! Since you are traveling with a conference, I suggest that you check to see if the conference has arranged a special group rate for theme park tickets. Check first with your conference organizers. You could also try calling the Walt Disney World Group Tickets office at 407-566-5600 to see if your conference group has a special theme park ticket rate. With my last conference, we had tickets that allowed us admission after 5:00 p.m. and were less than the standard admission full-day price. If your group does have special tickets for a later admission, be sure to check the park hours for Magic Kingdom on the day you plan to visit. When we used our after 5:00 p.m. admission ticket, Magic Kingdom closed at midnight, so we felt like the ticket was a good deal. If your group does not have a special rate for theme park tickets, check the Walt Disney World Tickets Page or the Tickets & Visit Guide (which includes information on seasonal events) for current pricing and admission details.

Be sure to check the group rate stipulations to know how far in advance you need to purchase the ticket(s) to take advantage of the special rate if there is one. I always suggest that guests pre-purchase ticket(s) in advance to make FastPass+ selections prior to arrival. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or other select hotel, you can make those FastPass+ selections 60 days before your trip. Once you purchase your ticket(s), be sure to link the ticket(s) to your My Disney Experience Account. Tickets must be linked to your My Disney Experience account to make FastPass+ selections.

Amy, I hope the conference learning proves valuable and I trust you will find a little magic when you stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom!

    Magic and memories,
