I have a conf in June at the Dolphin and am taking 2 girls (9/11) and my husband. We want to stay on property, so need to figure out the most kidfriendly hotel that would still be close to the Dolphin. Would you suggest the Boardwalk, Yacht or Beach club?

    Hi there, Stephanie!

Thanks for checking in with me!

My immediate reaction, when I see "June" and the ages of your children is Disney's Beach Club Resort or Disney's Yacht Club Resort. These gorgeous sister Deluxe Resorts offer their Guests the incredible Stormalong Bay, a three-acre beachside water park. There's a sand-bottomed pool, a lazy river, an incredible water slide, and the "Shipwreck" to explore. There are a variety of pools there to suit your every mood, too, including pools for families (and pools just for the grownups!). This water park and other outdoor activities (the beach, the playground) provide so much fun and entertainment that a day (or two) could easily be spent having a blast without leaving the hotel grounds.

    Disney's BoardWalk Inn
is also great in terms of its entertainment offerings. Of course, it has a pool area also; while not as elaborate or large as Stormalong Bay, there's a water slide, fountain park and a couple of quiet pools. There's an indoor family clubhouse (Community Hall) for board games and arts and crafts and other indoor activities when the sun becomes too much. And at night, of course, the promenade comes alive with street entertainment, restaurants, shopping, and more.

All three of these Resorts are gorgeous and have the kinds of theming, amenities, and service that you'd expect to find in a Disney Deluxe Resort. Certainly, you can't go wrong with any of the three. If you'd like, drop me a line, and I'll be delighted to help you with any further itinerary planning. The time will fly!

    Have a great trip!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
