Hi, Jeanne!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. From what I understand, concierge agents aren’t given priority over Guests when booking dining reservations at the
Walt Disney World Resort. They may, however, be able to access the reservations system faster than a person calling in or going online, but nothing is held in “reserve” for them, so to speak. Considering the popularity of some of the resort’s dining locations, it’s very possible that even canceled reservation times could get re-booked by another Guest shortly after being released.
The best advice I can give you is to call for your desired Advance Dining Reservations as soon as your 180-day booking window opens, and if you’re not successful that day, keep calling to check for openings at the restaurants of your choice. If all else fails, you may even have luck securing a walk-up reservation due to last-minute changes. This happened to my family at Cinderella’s Royal Table—they were able to seat us for a late lunch within 30 minutes when we decided on a whim to check availability one more time in person.
I hope this helps, Jeanne. Please feel free to write back with any other questions you may have as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
