concerning the 18% automatic fee for groups of 6+. reservation is for 6 people, only 5 our on the dining plan, our infant will not get a plate nor eat, but will be with us. Will we be charged the 18%?

    Hello Don!

Oh how I love the Disney Dining Plan. The thought of all the delicious food you will taste makes me very excited for you. In my experience our infants (under 3-years-old) are included in our total reservation number. So although your infant will not order a meal, eat, or have to pay for one, he will be included in the total number of 6 in the party and an 18% gratuity will automatically be added to the bill. The 18% is not a fee but is a gratuity for your server. I actually find it helpful so that my total bill is shown, I use my MagicBand to pay, and then we're on our way to the theme parks again!

If you have any other questions, please come back and see us real soon at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    Bon appétit!
