I am concerned that dinner takes 90 minutes each night as we have a young 2 year old. I am completely stressed thinking about her sitting that long every night. Will she be able to walk/move around? are there things to keep the little ones busy?

    Hi Peter,

I understand your concern.  I'm the mother of two, and while my kids are older I was certainly in your shoes not very long ago.  In my experience sailing with Disney Cruise Line over the years, I have only seen an occasional child walking around the dining room.  The kids just don't get bored.  The restaurants are busy and there is a lot to look at.  For example, if you are sailing on the Disney Fantasy, Animator's Palate plays cartoons and has a special show each evening.  On the Magic or Wonder, Animator's Palate's walls change color with each meal course.

I'm going to make a suggestion.  You can take her to eat her dinner on the pool deck and drop her off at the nursery.  You can then have your dinner in the dining room.  She'll be playing and having a great time while you are having an extraordinary, relaxing meal.  You're a tired parent (just like me)...you deserve the 90 minutes off.  You can then pick her up or just check on her to make sure she's okay so you can go on and enjoy the great nightlife onboard.  You don't even have to check on her...the staff in the nursery will let you know if there's an issue.  So you see?  You don't have to stress out at all.  Disney Cruise Line offers everyone in the family an opportunity to have their very own piece of vacation.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.  Have a wonderful sailing Peter.  Bon voyage!
