This system, currently in place, ensures a number of Guests in place at the theme parks for the safety of all during these unprecedented times (subject to change), which is why Guests must select a specific theme park each day for one park per day tickets. If a Guest holds a
Disneyland Resort theme park ticket with the Park Hopper Option, then the Guest, upon visiting the first reserved theme park, will, at 1:00 PM or later be able to visit a second theme park without a Disneyland Resort - Theme Park Reservation, and then the Guest will be able to visit both theme parks on that given day until theme parks close, pending availability.
If you are experiencing difficulty in selecting a Disneyland Resort - Theme Park Reservation, I can only guess that it "may" be because you may need to link your theme park tickets to your
Disney account via the
My Disneyland planning area, or if you already have linked your theme park tickets, it may be a lack of availability for those chosen days, in which case, I would recommend periodically refreshing the
Disneyland Resort Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar as Guests do cancel, or you may wish to consider a new set of dates. For further assistance, I recommend
