I have a complimentary ticket that I am using for my reservation at Disneyland. If I have to cancel will I get my ticket back?

    Hi there, Karen!

Thanks so much for coming to see us here at planDisney with your question. We are always happy to help fellow Guests plan out their days at the Happiest Place on Earth, which starts with theme park tickets and reservations! Let's jump into your question to see if we can set you up for a successful day in the parks.

While I don't have a magic mirror to peek into the specific terms and conditions for your complimentary ticket, I am happy to provide some guidance. For standard theme park tickets, Guests are able to make, cancel, and modify their theme park reservations easily in the Disneyland app. The ticket is theirs to keep until the expiration date, so even if Guests cancel an upcoming reservation, it will stay in their account and be ready and waiting for them to reschedule that park day. For regular tickets, Guest would pop into the app and tap the "+" in the bottom navigation bar, selecting "Make or Modify Park Reservations" and follow the instructions from there.

In your particular case, I would recommend calling the Guest Services team before making any changes to your ticket or reservation. They can see far deeper down the rabbit hole than I can and can give you more specific guidelines for your particular ticket.

If you do head to the parks next week, get excited to celebrate all things happy as part of the 70th Anniversary! Not only will you get to enjoy limited-time entertainment from the Paint the Night Parade to World of Color Happiness!, but opening just this week is Walt Disney—A Magical Life. Alternating performances with The Disneyland Story Presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, you will be welcomed into Walt's office by Walt himself, who will share some wise words and his big dreams. This is a special addition as part of the 70th anniversary and is likely to be very popular! They have just announced that there will be a Virtual Queue for Guests to join instead of a traditional standby queue. The Virtual Queue will open at 7:00 AM and 12:00 PM, when Guests will log into their app to join. If you are confirmed, the app will tell you when it's time to head over to the attraction. I do anticipate this being extremely popular, so if it's of interest to you, I'd recommend having your fast fingers ready at 7:00 AM or 12:00 PM!

Karen, I hope this has helped plan out your day in the magic. If you have any more questions, we love to help and share our favorite tips here at planDisney. Stop by again real soon!

    Magic awaits!
