Hiya, Whitney, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by with your vacation planning question. Like the Wildcats, we're all in this together, and I'm here to help however I can!
The
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is a world-class destination for athletes and teams from all over the world, located in the heart of
Walt Disney World Resort. We just returned home from cheering on our daughter's high school varsity dance team at ESPN and it is a fantastic location to enjoy a sporting event with a pinch of Disney magic mixed in!
Whitney, there is not a regular shuttle service between the Walt Disney World
Resort Hotels and the ESPN Complex. There are a couple of exceptions, though! If you are visiting to take part in a
runDisney event, buses will run to ESPN and these pickup locations are clearly marked at participating resort hotels. Teams and coaches staying on-property may also have access to shuttle buses to ESPN, depending on the event.
If you choose to rent a vehicle for your visit, there is plenty of complimentary parking at the complex. I definitely recommend dropping a pin on your mobile device or taking a photo of your parking location--I got hopelessly lost trying to track down our car one evening! The awesome Car Locator feature of
My Disney Experience has not yet expanded to the ESPN Complex.
Another great option is to take rideshare to the ESPN Complex. We use this quite a bit when we're vacationing at Walt Disney World and it's convenient if you're trying to get somewhere quickly, or travel between two locations without direct Disney transportation. I find that there are usually plenty of available drivers and that keeps the fares quite reasonable! I did check on our recent visit to ESPN and noted that there is plenty of signage around the complex to indicate rideshare pick-up and drop-off locations.
I hope this information is just what you need to get'cha head in the game! Thanks again for visiting our planDisney team, and please reach out anytime if we can help with other questions to make your trip extra-magical.
Go Team!
Susan
