Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Katrina!
Oh, how I love your question! Cast Members at the
Walt Disney World Resort make so much magic for Guests every day, and I always love sending Cast Compliments to express my gratitude for all the things they do to make my vacation practically perfect in every way. Whether they make your day better in a small but special way, or make a major impact (I dare you not to cry reading
this sweet story about Cast Member Samantha's compassion and empathy), Cast Members are the heart and soul of any Disney visit.
You have a couple of options. My favorite is to use Twitter – tweet your compliment to @WDWGuestService with the hashtag #CastCompliment. Be sure to include as many details as you can, including the Cast Member’s name, where you encountered them, and what they did that was so wonderful. They will ensure the compliment makes it to the Cast Member and their supervisor. I’ve even had the account reply with a photo of the Cast Member receiving a printed version of my Tweet. It makes my heart so happy!
You may also stop at any
Guest Relations location to leave a Cast Compliment. They will provide you with a special card you can fill out, which will be delivered just like the Tweet. There’s something heartwarming about this mode of Cast Compliment – it’s kind of like writing a thank you card and dropping it in the mail.
Katrina, Cast Members can’t accept tips or monetary rewards, but you are welcome to respectfully approach them and thank them for their exceptional service. I know that means so much to them! Sometimes, Guests will bring small trinkets that represent their home country or state to give Cast Members as a special thank you, which I think is a lovely gesture.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness, Katrina! I hope you encounter many magical Cast Members during your visit, and that the positive vibes and kindness you put out into the world come back to you!
Have a zip-a-dee-doo-dah day,
Robyn
