After completing 19 NYC Marathons, I've finally decided to runDisney. I need to submit proof of time but last year's race was canceled. This year's race is after the cut-off. What can I do, can I submit my 2011 time? How is the weather, what should I pack?

    Hi Ricky!

Wow!  Nineteen NYC Marathons is really impressive!  I think you're going to love the Walt Disney World Marathon!

I re-read the requirements and I am worried that if you put your 2011 time, it won't count, and you will be placed in one of the last corrals.  My advice would be to find a local race (10 miles or longer) that is before the cut-off date of November 1, 2013.  You can email that finish time to runDisney (disneysports@trackshack.com) to get you in the proper corral.

If that won't work, you can always try to contact runDisney at 407-938-3398.  I do know that they plan to follow the new guidelines very closely to ensure people are being placed  in the right corrals.

The weather is a great question!  I ran this year's marathon and it was very warm (highs in the 80's).  A few years ago, the weather was freezing with lows in the teens!  The average high is around 70 and the average low is around 48.  Your best bet is to watch the forecast as the race gets closer, but be prepared for both.  I always take a few options so I will be ready for both warm and cold.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
