Hello! We completed a scavenger hunt at Port Orleans - French Quarter in June. Are there other resorts that offer similar hunts for kids? Do you need to be a guest to participate? Thanks!

    Hi, there!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Beth. I'm so glad you stopped by!

There are so many benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. From complimentary MagicBands to early access to FastPass+ planning, Guests of Resort hotels are treated to lots of extra magic! Additionally, Resort hotels offer incredible recreational activities each month, like the super fun scavenger hunt you completed at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. Recreational calendars vary by month and by Resort hotel. Currently, there are other Resort hotels offering scavenger hunts. The Quest for Adventure Scavenger Hunt is available at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, the Sunday Under the Sea Scavenger Hunt is offered at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and a Hidden Mickey Scavenger Hunt can be found at Disney's Wilderness Lodge (this one is highly recommended by my dear friend and fellow panelist, Lindsey N.!). These experiences are subject to change at any time. To know if a scavenger hunt is being offered at a particular Resort hotel, I suggest calling the front desk directly. Another option is to Google search the name of the Resort hotel along with "recreational calendar." You may find that an unofficial website has posted the current month's activity schedule. And guess what? Typically, you are welcome to participate in those recreational offerings whether or not you're a Guest of the Resort hotel you're visiting!

Did you know that scavenger hunts are available in the theme parks too? Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom and A Pirate's Adventure ~ Treasures of the Seven Seas in Magic Kingdom Park, Wilderness Explorers at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Parks, and Disney Phineas and Ferb: Agent P's World Showcase Adventure in Epcot are all lots of fun!

I hope this was helpful, Beth. Please visit us again soon!
