    If I have completed online check-in, do we have to check-in at our resort before magic bands work at a park? We were wanting to make rope drop and spend the morning in MK before going to our resort, but didn't know if they had to be "activated" a

    Hi Lisa!

    There are really two different answers to your question, based on how you plan to use your MagicBands. Your park tickets linked through My Disney Experience will be loaded onto your MagicBands and ready to use at the parks. However, if you're using the Disney Dining Plan or want to have charging privileges, you'll need to check in at your resort first before heading to the parks. So while your MagicBands are activated for theme park admission, they are not completely functional until you complete resort check in.
