Greetings, Dorothy, and a warm welcome to
planDisney!
First off, if you’re the one expecting a new little Mouseketeer, congratulations on this exciting news! You’re going to love celebrating at the
Happiest Place on Earth!
To help you determine which
attractions may be suitable while pregnant, the Disneyland Resort has assembled a list of attractions with an
"Expectant Mothers Advisory" to narrow down any attractions you may want to avoid. Currently,
there are 17 attractions on this list to avoid, including thrill rides such as Space Mountain and Incredicoaster. But not to fear, Dorothy! I’ve visited the Disneyland Resort at all stages of my three pregnancies, and I’m happy to report that there are still plenty of attractions, shows, and experiences for you to enjoy! Some of my favorite attractions to ride while pregnant include “it’s a small world”, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan’s Flight, Golden Zephyr, The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, and Soarin’ Around the World.
Now, to help you figure out which attractions may be suitable for your 2-year-old. For little Mouseketeers, height is the biggest factor in determining which rides they can and can’t experience. So, you’ll want to check your toddler’s height and use the handy “Height” filter under
Attractions and Entertainment to determine which attractions will be suitable for them.
Here’s the filtered list for 32” to give you an idea of which attractions will likely work for your Mouseketeer.
When you’re both ready for a break, I recommend riding the Disneyland Railroad in Disneyland Park for a great way to see the sights while also resting your feet. Another favorite rest spot is the Disney Animation Building in Hollywood Land inside Disney California Adventure Park. The Animation Courtyard gallery in the main lobby features plush couches and air-conditioning, making for the perfect rest stop. In addition, don’t miss Turtle Talk with Crush and Sorcerer’s Workshop, both located inside this building.
Last but not least, you’ll want to get familiar with the
Baby Care Centers, which are the ideal spot to change or feed your Mouseketeer. You can also purchase any necessities you may have forgotten to pack, such as diapers or wipes. You’ll find the
Disneyland Park location at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., and the
Disney California Adventure Park location on Pacific Wharf.
Wishing you and your family a comfortable, stress-free visit filled with magical memories, Dorothy!
Hope to see ya’ real soon,
Kristin
