Hi Monzurul, welcome to planDisney!
With less than one month to go until your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, you are entering the final stage of your vacation countdown, which I lovingly refer to as the "too excited to sleep" stage. I can tell you're putting your sleepless nights to good use and applaud your efforts to understand the ins and outs of
Disney Genie service and Lightning Lanes. Both are designed to maximize the magic on your park days along with other services like
mobile food and beverage ordering and
Rider Switch. Let's dig a little deeper into the topic of
Lightning Lanes, which promise Guests less waiting and more doing on popular attractions throughout the four theme parks.
Disney Genie+ service gives Guests access to Lightning Lane entrances at over 40 attractions. These are known as Genie+ Lightning Lanes. Genie+ can be purchased the morning of each park day via the Tip Board of your
My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the home screen --> Tip Board). I recommend making the purchase by 6:45 a.m. so you're ready to book your first Genie+ Lightning Lane attraction at 7:00 a.m. You can book the next arrival time for one Genie+ Lightning Lane attraction at a time. Depending on your situation, you are eligible to book your next Genie+ Lightning attraction as soon as you have tapped in at the first attraction, two hours after park opening, or two hours after the first attraction was booked. Recent changes to the process of booking Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions require park hopping Guests to wait until the next arrival window for an attraction in a park not connected to their theme park reservation is after 2:00 p.m. In other words, Guests can no longer book Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions for their second theme park of the day right at 7:00 a.m.
Lighting Lane entrances for a select number of attractions that do not appear on the Genie+ Lightning Lane attraction list can be purchased à la carte as Individual Lightning Lanes. Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel can book their first Individual Lightning Lane attraction at 7:00 a.m. via the Tip Board of the My Disney Experience mobile app (scroll to the desired attraction and click the "LL Individual Lightning Lane" box with a purchase price listed). All other Guests may purchase at park opening.
Honing in on your question, Monzurul, each Guest can purchase up to two Individual Lightning Lane attractions back to back in the My Disney Experience mobile app. You must complete the payment process for the first selection before you can make your second selection, but experiencing your first Individual Lighting Lane attraction is not a prerequisite for purchasing your second. In your example, you can reserve an Individual Lighting Lane for Avatar Flight of Passage at 3:00 p.m. and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at 7:00 p.m.; the entire process of reserving both should take less than ten minutes. I actually recommend purchasing the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Individual Lighting Lane first, even if it's for a later time, because arrival times for this attraction historically sell out quickly.
I hope this is helpful information, Monzurul. Don't hesitate to reach out with any follow-up questions.
Plan magic; planDisney.
