Ahoy there!
Thanks so much for sailing over with your question. Choosing the right ship for your Disney Cruise adventures is no small task!
The Disney Cruise Line ships all feature distinctly magical designs, fantastic entertainment, delicious food, and activities for guests of any age. You'll always find a set of main dining rooms, plenty of recreation, kid clubs, and adult-exclusive areas on each ship. But there are also things that are wonderfully unique! For example...
- The Disney Magic was the first ship in the fleet to sail and currently features my favorite princess...Rapunzel! Between dining at Rapunzel's Royal Table and watching Tangled: The Musical you will definitely be having the "Best Day Ever!"
- The Disney Wonder launched next and is home to Tiana's Place, a bayou-inspired dining room complete with lively music!
These two ships are the smallest in the fleet, known as the "Magic" class, and I love how easy it is to navigate around them. It's also really nice to have fewer people onboard when you visit destinations like Disney Castaway Cay!
Moving on to the "Dream" class of ships, which are a little larger, we find two more options. These ships include some of my favorite activities, like the Midship Detective Agency and the Aquaduck!
- The Disney Dream is where you'll find the Beauty and the Beast show, which is completely gorgeous. Disney's Oceaneer Club includes a fun Toy Story area on this ship!
- The Disney Fantasy brings Aladdin's story to the sea, and it's a whole new world of fun. Aspiring heroes can also find the Marvel Super Hero Academy on board!
The largest class of ships currently sailing is the "Wish" class. These ships have some of the most highly-themed dining experiences at sea, the Aquamouse, a huge recreation area, and some extremely cool adult lounges.
- The Disney Wish features Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure and Worlds of Marvel on the dining rotation. What could be better than dinner and a show? This ship also has my favorite activity area for kids, the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab.
- The Disney Treasure is testing the waters! I am especially excited for Disney The Tale of Moana in the Walt Disney Theater. Who better than a master Wayfinder to guide a cruise across the sea? This is also where you'll find Skipper Society, for those...less masterful captains who are just looking for a good time or a punchline.
- The Disney Destiny arrives next year, putting heroes and villains all on one ship! I am thrilled that Hercules will be one of the stage shows and I'm looking forward to sipping with some happy haunts in the Haunted Mansion Parlor.
The Disney Adventure is literally in a class all its own. Sailing from Singapore in 2025, the largest ship in the Disney fleet is a destination in itself. Seven different themed areas will give guests plenty of space to explore.
No matter which ship you choose, you'll always have characters to meet, rotational dining to enjoy, and an amazing crew. I hope you find the perfect ship to chase the horizon!
Keep moving forward!
