Hey there, Jerome! It's my pleasure to welcome you to planDisney. Planning an autumnal getaway to Walt Disney World Resort for you and your grandchildren sounds truly fantastic! I love the leaves and pumpkins that pop up across the resort area as Mickey and his pals get ready to
celebrate fall and spooky season.
Speaking of spooky, nothing is scarier than needing to
cancel your trip! But fear not: I'm here to share some important information about what can happen if you choose not to travel.
When you go to checkout on the Disney World website and see the room-only or vacation package total in your cart, there will be a link near the price that outlines the terms and conditions of your purchase. There are different cancellation windows for these different types of bookings, so it will be important to know how many days in advance you can cancel without losing your deposit. For room-only reservations, you can cancel up to 8 days in advance without penalty. For vacation packages that include a room + tickets, you can cancel up to 30 days in advance without penalty. Also, you can choose to purchase
Travel Insurance as an additional layer of protection for your trip. Make sure you read the terms to understand each of these policies. You can also reach out to a Guest Services Cast Member and they will be happy to assist you.
I hope your trip goes off without a hitch, Jerome! I love visiting Disney World in October, and I know you'll have a blast, too. My top recommendations for a fun and festive fall trip include attending
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, checking out the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, and experiencing some classic frights on the
Haunted Mansion. I hope your vacation is unbe-leaf-ably fun!
Stay magical,
Scott
