Comparing the benefit of staying at a hotel on monorail route as opposed to not.

    Hi Nicole,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

My family prefers to stay at resort hotels with access to the Resort Monorail because it makes transportation to Magic Kingdom and Epcot so easy. We love Disney's Contemporary Resort Hotel and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. My favorite is Disney's Contemporary Resort Hotel because we can also walk to Magic Kingdom from there. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is also quite lovely and has access to the Resort Monorail.

All of the resort hotels with access to the Resort Monorail are deluxe or deluxe villa resorts with fabulous amenities. We enjoy the terrific dining options at Disney's Contemporary Resort Hotel, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Hotel and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. At Disney's Contemporary Resort, we look forward to Chef Mickey's and California Grill. At Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, we always make dining reservations at 'Ohana. And, at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, we love 1900 Park Fare for breakfast or dinner. Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner is so much fun!

Nicole, these resort hotels also have bus and water taxi transportation options. I love these transportation options so that we can always get back to the resort hotel without extraordinarily long wait times. There is nothing quite like leaving Magic Kingdom after the Happily Ever After fireworks show with lines for days and being able to stroll to your resort hotel room at Disney's Contemporary Resort Hotel. The walk is no more than 10 minutes. Many other resort hotels only have bus transportation and when the buses are crowded, you may have to wait for the next bus to come when leaving a theme park.

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
