My company offers discounted tickets to Disney World. If I purchase through them and something happens and I need to change my start date will I be able to do that? There site says that I have to contact Disney about any changes.

Hi there Elizabeth! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so glad you stopped by with your planning question, and I'd be happy to assist you today.

My family and I are so excited that the reopening of Walt Disney World is just about here. While we anticipate a fair amount of uncertainty to be part of our world for the immediate future, I understand the desire to be flexible with your travel plans. While Walt Disney World theme park tickets are nonrefundable, you can modify your tickets, including changing your ticket dates, before midnight EST of the day before your ticket’s first valid use date. Additionally, the price paid for a wholly unused ticket can be applied to the purchase of a new ticket with an equal or higher price. I appreciate this policy and the confidence it grants me in my purchases; the amount I pay for theme park admission will not be lost, even if my vacation plans change.

Elizabeth, the organization in which I work offers discounts on travel and entertainment through a company called Tickets at Work, and I have used this vendor to purchase a variety of products and experiences. While I don't know the details of your particular situation, the theme park tickets I have received through this organization retain the same terms and conditions as their original point of sales. Just this spring I purchased Walt Disney World theme park tickets through Tickets at Work, and when I needed to upgrade them to fit our new vacation plans for this fall, I was able to add days and assign new dates to them by calling Disney. I recommend reading the fine print carefully and contacting either Walt Disney World ticket sales at (407) 939-7679 or your company's affiliate directly to ensure smooth sailing prior to purchasing.

Once you have your ticket to the magic, be sure to reserve your theme park days in advance using the new Disney Park Pass System and continue to follow the Disney Parks Blog for operational updates and news. I hope this helps as you plan your fall adventure, and if there is anything else we can do to make your stay even more memorable, please come visit us again.

    See ya real soon!
